WPGC's Jeannie Jones alongside Rapper T.I. collects over 600 toys for DC charities

Washington, D.C.- Jeannie "Kitty of the City” Jones, media personality of WPGC 95.5/Fox 5 News and Ready Set Impact, a multi-media company, hosted “Grant My Wish” holiday event with her Grant My Wish Foundation December 21st through the 23rd.

This weekend long event began on Friday and featured a 24 hour drive at the 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue Starbucks along with WPGC their radio partner. Rapper T.I. made a special appearance along with US Marines to assist with the toy collection.

In 2010, Haymarket, Va. residents, Bill and Debbie Harvey, founders of Helping Haitian Angels, began the slow process of acquiring 40 acres in Haiti with plans to build orphan homes, a church, a school and a medical clinic for Haiti’s orphans of Limonade, Haiti. After two years, Helping Haitian Angels finally realized their dream with the help of donors, friends and family who helped raise the $60,000 to acquire the land. You may have licked your lips and headed off to the kitchen or a restaurant for a taste of what you have seen. It may linger on your mind for days after, seducing you to stop in and give it a try. It’s called “food porn” and it’s increasingly becoming something that restaurants and food companies turn to in order to get your attention, get you salivating, and ultimately get you to buy.
