Sabrina Campbell, owner of Occasionally Cake of Old Town Alexandria will be judging chocolate dishes at the annual Old Town Fairfax Chocolate Lover’s Festival, March 2 and March 3, 2013. “This is our fifth year to be a part of the Chocolate’s Lover’s Festival it’s one of our favorite ‘foodie’ events for sure,” said Sabrina Campbell, Occasionally Cake owner. “You can’t go wrong with chocolate it’s always fun to compete, but I particularly love to judge and sample so many of the creative creations,” said Campbell.

In honor of National Heart Month, Metropolitan Fine Arts Center (MFAC) of Alexandria and Fairfax Station, Va. is featuring their “Dance Your Heart Out” campaign, offering unlimited adult dance and mind/body classes throughout February for a special price of $110. MFAC’s “Dance Your Heart Out” campaign includes all adult dance, yoga and MetroBarre classes. A regular adult class fee is 10 classes for $130. In 2010, Haymarket, Va. residents, Bill and Debbie Harvey, founders of Helping Haitian Angels, began the slow process of acquiring 40 acres in Haiti with plans to build orphan homes, a church, a school and a medical clinic for Haiti’s orphans of Limonade, Haiti.
